Indian Food in Radio Dalam

I had the best Chanai bread and curry on Saturday night with my cousins. We had a little reunion around 4 pm in a mall. Then we got bored and moved to this little place that cooks Indian cuisines.

We ordered chanai bread, plain naan bread, curry, chicken tandoori, biryani rice, naan banana cheese, samosa and rice porridge. All good and everybody loves it. To think that it opens 24 hours and I've only been there twice. I see future trips in demand.

Chicken BBQ

If you eat chicken all the time like I do, then you should try the Chicken BBQ and Chicken Caesar Salad at Cafe Victoria. It is absolutely delicious. The Chicken is very soft and the BBQ sauce is just right. Not too thick and it has that sourly tingly taste in it. The Chicken Caesar Salad is just as good. It's just chicken and romaine I tell you. But the dressing taste a bit like sour cream and spread with parmesan cheese (my favorite).

New flavours at Jco

Last Sunday I was strolling around at Citos and as I was passing by I saw the ad on 3 new flavours. There's Tira Misu, Crunchy crunch (I think), and I forgot the other one as I was already eyeing the Tira Misu. Seeing that the line was short (4 people), so I steered my way in.

As usual, I can't leave the Jco counter without the Al Capone and Black Jack. So I got 2 each of those and added 2 Tira Misus. I know I shouldn't be eating that much sugar but I just can't help myself. When I stopped at the end of the line, I thought that I would just buy 2 Tira Misus. But the typical me couldn't resist my favorite Jco flavours so I came out with half a dozen box.

The Tira Misu is good. I like it. Just wish they put more powder on top of it though.

Jco doughnuts

I miss Jco doughnuts. You wouldn't believe the queuing line a couple months back. My record was standing in line for 1 hour to buy 2 dozens of delicious doughnuts. But I know a friend of a friend who stood in line for 2 hours for a half a dozen doughnuts. Unbelievable!

I knew Jco from a friend who stood in line for 45 minutes just because she wanted to know what the fuss is all about. We were totally addicted. Couldn't stop buying it every chance we get. And when you wait for doughnuts for more than half an hour, you'd want to buy more than a dozen just to get even for your tired feet and compensate the time. But the thrill of the waiting is diminishing now. The line is much shorter (which I prefer) but those little suckers still a favorite breakfast on the go for me. The Al Capone and Black Jack is a must for me. I usually buy those for half a dozen and another half filled with Why Nut for my boyfriend. He won't try anything else.

Roti Prata....

When I feel like eating Indian food, I think about Roti Prata in Seiyu Bugis Junction Singapore.

I went to Singapore in January 2006. It was by accident that I found the roti prata with my sister. We wanted to try a new meal and when we were looking around there was someone walking by holding a plate with the dry thin version of the prata. I think it's called the parantha. I myself prefer the plain prata. I think it was only 1$ Sing and I just can't stop thinking about it.

Great, now my mouth is watering.

Me want Krispy Kreme!!!

Okay so I live in Asia and there's a fat chance that Krispy Kreme will open a store in here any time soon but I can't stop my saliva flowing when I opened the web at www.krispykreme.com.

They all look so yummy. I've even already marked the ones that I want to try. Glazed Chocolate Cake, Glazed Blueberry, Maple Iced Glazed, Cinnamon Bun, Cinnamon Twist, Cinnamon Apple Filled, Glazed Cinnamon, Powdered Cake, and Glazed SourCream.

Anybody can give me their favorite Krispy Kreme? Which of the doughnuts I chose is the best?

My favorite sushi restaurant

Sushi Nobu at Darmawangsa Square South Jakarta serves great sushi. The place is small but the food is so worth it. I'm in love with their baked dynamite and philly roll. It's more expensive than Sushi Tei but I'd still recommend it. There was a time when I come for every 2 weeks. I am so addicted to this.
